Terms and Conditions

1. Catch Carp Hungary Ltd is acting as booking agents for the fishing, travel & accommodation providers.

2. The Lead Booker undertakes to supply us with full details (name, address, contact numbers & age if below 16) of everyone in his party and he/she must be at least 18 years old.

3. Once Catch Carp Hungary Ltd receives the first part of the payment, your holiday will be reserved for you and your party and your booking is taken to be confirmed and accepted in respect of all persons traveling when we forward our invoice via e-mail.

4. The balance is required no later than two months before your booking date. If a booking is placed in two months prior to your arrival date the total cost of your holiday must be paid in full and sent with all other necessary documents.

5. If full payment is not received two months prior to the arrival date, Catch Carp Hungary Ltd reserve the right to cancel your booking: payments may not be refunded and a cancellation fee incurred.

6. If however, you cancel your confirmed booking, it will only be accepted in writing, signed by the Group Organiser:

Please note you can get a full refund just if you cancel your trip in 7 days after the booking. After that, none of the payments are refundable. Therefore, we strongly advise you to make an insurance too with an insurance company you prefer, so you will be insured in case of cancelation of your trip. This will be the only way to get back your money in case if you have to cancel the trip for any reason.
To reserve your swim you have to pay 50% of the full amount in a week, and your second payment the 50% has to be made latest two months before your arrival date. Please note if you are late with any of the payments, we cannot guarantee your place anymore.

7. All travel arrangements/requirements are your responsibility and we accept no responsibility for delays or cancellations in flights or, if there are irregularities in your documents.

8. Our packages prices are flat rates. They include all our services, what we promise in our packages. When you book, you agree, that you pay the full amount, even if you do not use some of the services, what we offer you in that package. So you cannot get your money back if you do not use all of the services what we provide. For example: one boat is in the price in every package (except Lake Balaton), however, if you bring your own boat, and do not want to use the one at the lake, it won’t make your price cheaper.

9. If you book with us your fishing holiday to one of our lakes, with your booking you agree that you can just book through us in the future to that lake.

10. Fluctuations in the currency exchange rate; all of our venues set their prices in HUF. The prices we quote in £’s/€’s are set on September 1st each year using the £/€ Sterling to HUF conversion rate current at the time. If the exchange rate falls by more than 2% between the date you booked your holiday and 4 weeks before your departure date you will be required to pay the difference. If you choose to pay us in full for your holiday when you make your booking we guarantee the price and you will not be asked to pay a surcharge even if the exchange rate falls.

11. Prices may be increased or decreased to reflect changes in taxes, including a change to VAT. If in the future, the Government or another regulatory body, introduces a charge or levy for the holidays we sell. Catch Carp Hungary Ltd. reserve the right to pass on that charge to you. Also, if the owner of the lakes/properties changes the price maximum once in a year, Catch Carp Hungary Ltd. reserve the right to pass on that charge to you as well.

12. You must have a valid passport. This is your responsibility and we accept no responsibility for any delay or expense incurred through any irregularity in your documents.

13. Catch Carp Hungary Ltd. strongly recommends that you purchase personal travel insurance and does not accept liability for any financial loss incurred as a result of you not so doing.

14. Force Majeure: We will not be held liable for loss or delay occasioned by any of the following: Strikes, Political Unrest, Riots, Port Closures, War or Threat of, Terrorist Activity, Industrial Disputes, Fire, Flood, Covid, epidemic, pandemic, Technical / Weather problems to transportation, Acts of God or any other event(s) beyond our control.

15. If the lake has changed some rules or the Hungarian fishing rules have changed between your booking and the end of your holiday, we cannot take the responsibility for that, because it is beyond our control. Therefore if you have any problem with that,  we cannot give you back your money. However, of course, we will do our best to make your fishing holiday as good as we can.

16. Complaints Procedure: In the unlikely event that you or a member of your party has a complaint about your holiday;  (a) Whilst at the venue – the complaint must be notified to Catch Carp Hungary Ltd. by telephone. You must give Catch Carp Hungary Ltd. a chance to resolve your complaint whilst you are at the venue. If you do not do this your complaint will not be considered as valid for your return to home. (b) On return – unresolved complaints must be sent in writing to Catch Carp Hungary Ltd. within 7 days of your arrival back home. Any problem that arises related to the fishing location is the responsibility of the owner of the lake or swim or house, and must be resolved with him/her. Catch Carp Hungary Ltd. is only an intermediary and is therefore not responsible for problems related to the accommodation, the swim, the lake or any of their services.

17. Disabled Travellers; our aim is to provide a high level of service to all our customers. However, we are not a specialist operator in the field of holidays for the disabled. The majority of the fishing venues and accommodation that we offer is not suitable or equipped for the needs of many disabled people. Therefore if you have any disability we must be informed at the time of booking and we will do our best to help and advise. We cannot be held responsible for any difficulties encountered due to the unsuitability of the facilities.

18. Every venue has Fishery Rules – these must not be broken.  If you do break rules the owner may terminate your holiday without compensation.

19. A security deposit may be required when you arrive at a venue. This will be refunded in full subject to deductions for any breakages or extra cleaning costs incurred if the accommodation or swim is left in an unreasonable state. Our venues are well run and we would ask that you leave them in the same clean state as you found them.

20. If any changes to the confirmed booking are required, we will try and be flexible wherever possible.

21. All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

22. Jurisdiction: Paying the deposit constitutes acceptance of a contract on these terms subject to Hungarian Law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the Hungarian Courts.

23. We reserve the right to terminate your vacation if you are in any way causing a disturbance or harm to other anglers, other people, grounds, lakes or property. You will not be liable for a refund/compensation and you may incur costs for any damage carried out.

24. The person who did the booking should have read and accepted these terms and conditions. He/she is liable for all costs and charges on behalf of the party. Deposits are accepted on the strict undertaking that this action has been taken.

25. If you send Catch Carp Hungary Ltd. a picture, we assume that we can publish this picture. At all times, you have the right to ask us to delete this picture.

28. With paying the deposit or the full amount, you agree that you have read and understood our Terms and Conditions and you have accepted it fully.
